Bungalow (age 2+)
Welcome to the Bungalow!
The Bungalow is a separate building where your child will begin their journey from the age of two. The bungalow is a small space which has a maximum of eight children in a session. This makes it a warm and cosy space for your child to learn and develop.
There are two members of staff working in the bungalow. The room supervisor is Nicky, she has a lot of experience working with this age group.
Children in the bungalow will be assigned a key worker, this person will be the person that carries out observations on your child and assesses them using Tapestry. Tapestry is an online learning journal which contains weekly observations and photos to keep you updated with what your child is exploring. Please feel free to add your own updates from home for us to look at.
The Bungalow is split into different areas/rooms. The kitchen area is used for snack time where we promote healthy eating. The messy room is where the children express themselves creatively. This room is where the children draw, paint and collage. It is also where they can explore sensory activities including messy play, water and play dough.
The Bungalow has another playroom and an area where children can engage in role play and read or listen to stories.
The hourly rate for Bungalow is £6.50.
Under current lockdown restrictions, we are unable to invite you to look around in person, so please have a look at our virtual tour and some photos below.
Settling in sessions
After your initial visit and introduction to the setting, we will offer you a range of settling in session options. Session 1- will be a set half an hour where you will stay with your child. Session 2- will be a set half an hour where you can leave your child with our staff team to let them settle in. Session 3- (if required) will be a set hour where your child will get to settle into more of the setting’s routines. If you only require one session or feel your child needs more than 3, this can be arranged to suit you and your child’s needs.
