SENCO

Hi my name is Leanne. I am 29 years old and I have worked at the childcare centre for nine years. I began my time here as a college student whilst I studied a Foundation Degree in Learning Support (Level 5).

I have recently taken on the role of SENCO, supporting children with additional needs. This is a new challenge for me which I am finding very rewarding. I love my job working with children of different ages.

I work throughout the school holidays and know every day is going to be different and exciting. In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym and going on holiday.

Nicky

Deputy Manager, Second Safeguarding Lead & Health & Safety Contact

Hi, my name is Nicky. I have worked at the childcare centre for 15 years and I have a Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Childcare and Management.

I work varied shifts with all ages of children. At the moment I am working in The Bungalow with the 2 year old’s which I love! I am 47 and have two grown up children.

I have recently become a Grandma which I love! I enjoy walking and being outdoors. My other interests include reading, baking and sewing. I work varied shifts with all ages of children.

Hi my name is Emma. I have a level 3 qualification in childcare.

I have three children, two boys and a girl. My children have attended the setting over the years and have loved their time here. Both my boys play rugby for the local team which we enjoy watching as a family on weekends and having lots of family time.

Lareina

Finance & Administration Officer

Hi my name is Lareina. I have just started working at the centre in the office. I moved to the Village just over 5 years ago from York.

I have two Children aged 15 and 9.

In my spare time we are a rugby league mad family, with all the family involved with the York Acorn.

We love traveling in the family Van!

Suzanne

Level 4 Childcare practitioner

Hi my name is Suzanne, I am a Level 4 Early Years Practitioner and have worked in childcare for just over twelve years. I started at the Centre in September 2020 and am looking forward to the challenges working at a new setting brings.

I live in a local village called Monk Fryston with my two daughters, Courtney and Halle. I enjoy lots of family time activities like cinema, dining out, family games nights, nerf battles and playing pool.
I support Castleford tigers, rugby league and attend games with my daughter.

Emma

Level 3 Childcare practitioner

Hi, my name is Emma and I have recently joined the team. I have my Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification and have previously worked in a couple of settings in York.

I live in Selby, having moved here from York three years ago, and I have three children – an 11 year old daughter and 3 year old twins (a boy and a girl) who keep me busy outside of work!

My favourite things to do are spending time with my family, going for walks, going to gigs/festivals and reading.

Finlay

Level 3 Childcare practitioner

My name is Finlay. I have two children. I like walking in the Yorkshire Dales as we have a caravan there. I also enjoy going to the theatre and being with my family.

I have a level 3 BTech National Diploma in Children’s care, learning and development.

Hello, My name is Jess, I’ve been at the Centre since February 24. I am a level 3 Early Years Practitioner.

I live in Thorpe Willoughby and I enjoy going on walks and spending time in my garden.

Stacey

Level 2 Childcare practitioner

Hi my name is Stacey and I have been working at the Centre for 7 years as the cleaner. I am married with 2 boys one of 15 and one of 11. Both my boys attended the Centre when they were little and loved it! I have just passed my level 2 in childcare and am really pleased to have joined the team as a play worker.

I enjoy watching my youngest son play football at the weekends.

Ellie

Level 2 Childcare practitioner

Hi my name is Ellie. I live locally to the centre and my daughter goes to Thorpe Willoughby School.

I really enjoy spending time with the children and doing arts and craft. I spend my weekend with my daughter doing outdoor activates.

Michelle

Level 3 Childcare Practitioner Apprentice

Hi My Name is Michelle, I am a lunchtime supervisor at the Centre. I have grown up and lived in Thorpe Willoughby all my life.

I am married with four children and two grandchildren. Three of my children attended the Centre and loved it.

My spare time is family time.

Helen

Level 3 Childcare Practitioner Apprentice

Hi my name is Helen. I have just started working at the centre, I have a Level 2 childcare qualification and am going to complete a Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship course whilst working here

I have 6 children and 2 grandchildren who I love to spend time with . In my spare time I like to go on walks and love to go on sunny holidays.
