Hello, my name is Tracy and I fell in love with the centre when my little boy attended many years ago, far too many to mention! Needless to say, he is now 31 years old. I have had varied roles within the Centre and enjoyed every one of them. Working with children is the most rewarding job I have ever done, every day is different, and each little achievement the children reach is celebrated by all of us. I have achieved my Level four Diploma in Advanced Childcare and Management, and I am looking forward to starting a leadership course in the new year. I have been acting Manager since our previous manager retired and am so pleased to be able to say I am now the Centre Manager. I live in Brayton with my little dog, but I always feel Thorpe Willoughby is my home as it was here my son grew up and attended The Primary School. I love to walk my dog and I love socialising with my friends.
Hi my name is Leanne. I am 25 years old and I have worked at the childcare centre for 7 years. I began my time here as a college student whilst I studied a Foundation Degree in Learning Support (Level 5). I have recently taken on the role of SENCO, supporting children with additional needs. This is a new challenge for me which I am finding very rewarding. I love my job working with children of different ages. I work throughout the school holidays and know every day is going to be different and exciting. In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym and going on holiday.
Hi, my name is Nicky. I have worked at the childcare centre for 15 years and I have a Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Childcare and Management. I work varied shifts with all ages of children. At the moment I am working in The Bungalow with the 2 year old’s which I love! I am 47 and have two grown up children. I have recently become a Grandma which I love! I enjoy walking and being outdoors. My other interests include reading, baking and sewing. I work varied shifts with all ages of children.
Hi I’m Michelle a childcare practitioner at TWCC. I have an
Early Years Educator Level 3 qualification and I love my job!
I have lived in Selby all of my life and have been married for nearly
18 years. I have two boys of my own who are 16 and 13 and love sports and so I usually spend my Sundays freezing cold at the side of a pitch! Both my boys attended the setting as little people and I
joined the team as a volunteer after my youngest started school.
After a few years I decided to take the leap and become qualified and honestly I have never looked back it was the best decision i have ever made. Working with children is the most rewarding (and tiring) thing I have ever done and every day with them is a new adventure.
