Most of you will know we lost a very dear member of our team on Christmas Day 2020, Janet Stephenson.
To honour her memory and the dedication she gave to the Centre and the children for over ten years, we have decided to use the remaining money we have raised from the 2019 Scarecrow Hunt and our fundraising page to create a garden in her memory.
Janet’s garden will be the bungalow garden as this was her pride and joy. Before she died, Janet worked with the team to plan how the garden should be changed for the children, so we want to take this forward to honour her memory.
We have had a garden design created, this is basic at the moment, but will totally transform the area for the children, with a dedicated area to remember Janet, along with a cherry tree, bench and a dedication plaque.
We are asking for support to move this project forward, we need a new shed and playhouse for the garden, along with new outdoor toys, these are in addition to the basic garden design. We aim to start around the end of August, funds permitting.
If you can help win any way with donations of equipment, money or your time we would be grateful.
Any donations can be paid into the Yorkshire Bank fundraising account, Sort code: 05-07-62 Account number: 25195142 Account name: Thorpe Willoughby Childcare Cen

We are also pleased to announce that Holiday club will be back for the Easter holidays! Please see the photo below and get in touch.
Look below at some of the lovely activities that the children have enjoyed recently. These activities are fun, varied and support the children’s learning and different areas of their development linking to the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). Activities are also adapted to meet the age range and individual needs of children in the session. Our staff team will also extend the activities and children’s learning based on their progression and their interests.
We have places available for to three and four year olds (you may also be eligible for funding). We are very flexible and you can choose your hours or sessions from what we have available. If you would like anymore information, or to book a place, call Tracy or Clare on 01757 291 186 or register your interest by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
We can’t wait to welcome you!
We are really looking forward to spring! We have plans to join the village in decorating our windows with spring themed flowers that the children will make. Linking with this, we will be starting fun outdoor spring themed activities including planting.
We also have exciting plans for our outdoor area! We are looking forward to sharing these with you soon.
We hope to be able to offer you holiday club this Easter. Holiday club is a fun and relaxed time where children can play, develop and mix with different age groups.
Holiday clubs are run by Tracy, Leanne and Nicky. They plan different, varied activities for your child to join in with if they wish. All planned activities are free choice and the children can select what they would like to do during holiday club. Easter holiday club this year will be a mixture of spring and Easter themed activities. This depends on current lockdown restrictions. Once we have the green light to open, get your bookings in fast! The last few holiday clubs we have been open have been at full capacity and we have had to turn people away. This is due to only being able to cater for up to 16 children in a session.
